Creative Workshops That Bring Communities Together

Our community workshops are designed for libraries, councils, youth programs, neighbourhood centres, community festivals, and groups who want to create inclusive, meaningful and creative experiences for people of all ages.

I created these workshops because creativity has the power to strengthen communities — it builds connection, confidence, belonging and joy. Collage is one of the most accessible artforms: it requires no experience, no pressure, and no barriers to participation. It welcomes people of all backgrounds, abilities and ages.

So many community events struggle with engagement or feel intimidating for beginners. Our workshops solve this by creating a warm, supportive environment where people can slow down, connect, and make something beautiful together. The Collage Collective approach is gentle, inclusive and community-centred — perfect for family days, intergenerational programs, youth engagement or wellbeing-focused events.

Participants leave feeling inspired, calmer, and more connected to the people around them — with an artwork that reflects their voice, identity, or story.

"Maddie was able to bring people together that I thought was impossible! Parents that usually say, "no thanks", were sitting with their children creating collage artworks that they said we're new treasures for their home. I truly appreciated how open Maddie made the drop-in event. She worked with us on pricing, which was also a massive help!"

We’re Nearly There — Imagine Your Creative Gathering…

Imagine Your Community Coming Together…

Children cutting paper with grandparents beside them. Teens laughing as they discover quirky images in old magazines. Parents creating side-by-side with their kids. Seniors sharing stories sparked by vintage imagery. A whole room buzzing with colour, connection and creativity.

Tables overflowing with materials… little hands concentrating… big smiles appearing… phone cameras capturing quiet moments of joy.

Your community members feel welcomed, supported, and at ease. They relax. They express themselves. They connect with people they may never have spoken to otherwise.

This is creativity that brings people together — gently, meaningfully, and accessibly.
