High-Quality Materials Provided
This is the best part. You don’t need to bring a thing. I’ll provide everything you need to get started. This includes:
- A variety of papers, magazines, and vintage ephemera.
- Scissors, craft knives, and cutting mats.
- Glue, adhesives, and speciality tools.
- Unique embellishments like stamps and textured materials.
If you do have personal items you’d like to incorporate, feel free to bring them along! Personalised touches make your collage even more special and are part of what to expect at a collage workshop.
Guidance and Demonstrations
Not sure where to start? No problem!
I’ll kick off the session with a brief overview of who I am and what we have available. I will show examples of previous artworks which demonstrate the different avenues you can go down. These demonstrations include layering, composition, and colour balancing. I’ll also share tips on how to add depth and texture to your work, giving you hands-on experience.
Throughout the workshop, I’ll be available to provide guidance, answer questions, and help you overcome any creative roadblocks.
Freedom to Explore Your Creativity
This is not a paint and sip. You will not be replicating something someone else has made. Every session, we ask that you create something which speaks true to your individuality and experience. Every participant brings their unique perspective, and my workshops are all about celebrating that individuality. You’ll have the freedom to:
- Experiment with different materials and styles.
- Create abstract or narrative pieces.
- Work at your own pace without pressure to “get it right”
